dc.description Abstract This article becomes the first product for the assessment about the impact of social inclusion policies on differents Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the colombian Caribbean region. And it´s focused in two key aspects, the first one, it is the analysis of the impact of policies aimed to ensure the access and permanence of vulnerable population belong at the seven public university of the colombian Caribbean region; and another hand, the analysis about the supporting awarded to students matriculated among 2005 and 2011, and its impact on desertion rates. The information consulted was the senior and scademics agreement, and also rectoral Resolutions concerning about benefits giving to this population, and the ‘SPADIES’ database. As results it was found that affirmative actions implemented by HEIs, are academics, financial and in another type, benefiting 52.7% of their matriculated students. Finally, for students of social strata 1 and 2 levels, affirmative actions have sought to improve the permanence conditions through financial support.           en-US
dc.description Este trabajo se constituye en un primer insumo para la evaluación del impacto de la política de inclusión de las instituciones de educación superior de la región Caribe colombiana. El foco de atención se centra en dos aspectos: el análisis de las políticas universitarias implementadas por las siete IES públicas de la región para garantizar el acceso y permanencia de la población vulnerable, y el análisis de la dinámica presentada con la entrega de beneficios a los estudiantes matriculados entre 2005–2011 y su impacto en las tasas de deserción. Se utilizó información de acuerdos superiores y académicos, y resoluciones rectorales con las que se ofrecen beneficios a esta población, al igual que la base de datos del SPADIES. Se encontró que las acciones afirmativas implementadas por las IES se concentran en tres: académicas, financieras y de otro tipo, beneficiando al 52,7 % de los matriculados. Finalmente, para los estudiantes de estratos 1 y 2 las acciones afirmativas han buscado mejorar las condiciones de permanencia a través de apoyos de tipo financiero.     es-ES
