dc.description In this article, there is a presentation of the results of an inquiry of the narratives about the roles developed by the caciques and by the Nasa’s political communitarianism during the colonial period. The objective of this inquiry is to trace and analyze the ways in which possible notions and semantic associations with the term indigenous autonomy have been constructed. It is a documentary analysis work centered on the study of historical, political, and investigative documents about the colonial period with a special attention on the analysis of documents written by Nasa intellectuals who have described the political history of their people. First, there is an examination of those narratives about the precolonial organization of Nasa people. Second, there is an examination of the conflictive dynamics of indigenous territorial defense during the conquering period that was before the Spaniard dominance. Third, there is an examination of the role of the colonial caciques and the communitarian dynamics as possible cohesive elements in the political and territorial fights and in the revindication for a proper concept of Nasa autonomy during the colony. In the relates of the historical disputes of the Nasa people of Colombia, the autonomy emerges as an identity claim that prevails along time. Despite the historical disputes of the Nasa people to be identified through autonomy, this concept has not had homogeneous developments in their history, nor inside the complexity of their political conceptions. en-US
dc.description Este artículo presenta los resultados de una investigación sobre las narrativas referentes a los roles desempeñados por los caciques y por el comunitarismo político de los Nasa durante el tiempo de la colonia. El objetivo de esta indagación es rastrear y analizar las formas en las que se han ido construyendo posibles nociones y asociaciones semánticas con el término de autonomía indígena. Es un trabajo de análisis documental centrado en el estudio de textos históricos, políticos e investigativos sobre el periodo colonial. Presta especial atención al análisis de publicaciones de intelectuales Nasa que han escrito sobre la historia política de su pueblo. Este artículo está organizado de la siguiente manera. En primer lugar, presenta un examen de las narrativas sobre la organización precolonial de los Nasa. En segundo lugar, expone las dinámicas conflictivas de defensa territorial indígena durante el tiempo de conquista anterior al dominio español. Tercero, examina el papel de los caciques coloniales y de las dinámicas comunitarias como posibles elementos de cohesión en las luchas políticas y territoriales y en la reclamación por un concepto propio de autonomía Nasa durante la colonia. En relatos sobre las disputas históricas del pueblo indígena Nasa de Colombia, la autonomía surge como reclamo identitario que prevalece en el tiempo. A pesar de las luchas históricas del pueblo Nasa por identificarse a través de la autonomía, este concepto no ha tenido desarrollos homogéneos, ni dentro de su historia, ni dentro de la complejidad de sus concepciones políticas. es-ES
