dc.description Across the present article it tries to identify, describe and determine the existing relation between the styles of learning and the academic averages of students of fifth semester of the diverse academic programs of the University of Magdalena. On having evaluated the frequency, facility and quality of the strategies used by the students, the obtained results indicate that the Style of Learning of these is characterized by the Acquisition of the Information of constructive character, the Retention and the Recovery of the Information of a predominant way before the examinations; and the Prosecution of the Information with major frequency is faced towards the reproduction of the acquired information, but with a major facility and quality on having used creative strategies and you criticize on the learned. Equally, one found that a significant interrelation does not exist between two variables of study. en-US
dc.description A través del presente artículo se pretende identificar, describir y determinar la relación existente entre los estilos de aprendizaje y los promedios académicos de estudiantes de quinto semestre de los diversos programas académicos de la Universidad del Magdalena. Al evaluar la Frecuencia, Facilidad y Calidad de las estrategias utilizadas por los estudiantes, los resultados obtenidos indican que el Estilo de Aprendizaje de éstos se caracteriza por la Adquisición de la Información de carácter constructivo, la Retención y la Recuperación de la Información de manera predominante ante los exámenes; y el Procesamiento de la Información con mayor Frecuencia se orienta hacia la reproducción de la información adquirida, pero con una mayor Facilidad y Calidad al utilizar estrategias creativas y criticas sobre lo aprendido. Igualmente, se encontró que no existe una correlación significativa entre las dos variables de estudio. (Duazary 2008; 99-106) es-ES
