dc.description The Hispanic presence in Cuba and Colombia, established social, cultural, architectural and urban codes that will prevail in the material and spiritual production of both peoples, easily in and Cartagena de Indias. Values and cultural significance of these within the Caribbean and Latin American area, and the and work made in them, determined that they were included in the World Heritage List; Havana in 1982, and Cartagena in 1984.  With different strategies and policies in their areas of historical value have been conducting rescue projects and revalorization. In this paper some of the last actions performed in the historic centers of Havana and Cartagena, which currently are at different stages are shown, works completed, in progress , final design, study, etc. centers are witness and document of the past and cultural part of the urban frame of the city, is a living, dynamic, changing entity, projecting into the future effectively, combine the solution of current problems and prospects, is the challenge that we must take with creativity, without losing its essence and authenticity en-US
dc.description La presencia hispana en Cuba y Colombia, estableció códigos sociales, culturales, arquitectónicos y urbanos que van a prevalecer en la producción material y espiritual de ambos pueblos, fácilmente reconocibles en La Habana y Cartagena de Indias. Los valores y la significación cultural de estos conjuntos dentro del área del Caribe y Latinoamérica, así como el trabajo de protección y rescate realizados en ellos, determinaron que fueran incluidos en la Lista Mundial del Patrimonio; La Habana en 1982 y Cartagena en 1984. Con estrategias y políticas diferentes, en sus zonas de valor histórico se han venido realizando proyectos de rescate y revalorización. En el presente trabajo se muestran alguna de las últimas actuaciones ejecutadas en los centros históricos de La Habana y Cartagena, que en la actualidad se encuentran en diferentes etapas: obras terminadas, en ejecución, proyectos ejecutivos, estudio, etc. Nuestros centros constituyen testimonio y documento del pasado y herencia cultural; forman parte del tejido urbano de la ciudad, son un ente vivo, dinámico, cambiante, que se proyecta hacia el futuro; combinar de manera efectiva la solución de los problemas actuales y perspectivos, constituye el reto que debemos asumir con creatividad, sin que pierdan su esencia y autenticidad. es-ES
