dc.description Starting from a conceptual approach to the gifted and the talent, forms through which the human intelligence is manifested, it is sought to show the importance of the special education that these people require. Highlighting the fact that particularly in the Caribbean coast, in spite of the investigative and pedagogic work that one comes advancing from some institutions, it is little what is known about this educational population. Who the students that present are characteristic and exceptional and talented academic performance in the schools of the District? Which their fundamental characteristics are? As facilitating the development of their potentialities?. They are these some of the queries that guide the development of the investigation project «students Identification with exceptional capacities and talents in Santa Marta s District», financed by Fonciencia for the year 2005 and with which is sought to build a solid conceptualization it has more than enough talents and exceptional capacities that allow the understanding of the particularities psychological singular of these youths and, this way, to base their educational orientation en-US
dc.description A partir de una aproximación conceptual a la excepcionalidad y el talento, formas a través de las cuales se manifiesta la inteligencia humana, se pretende mostrar la importancia de la educación especial que estas personas requieren. Se destaca el hecho de que particularmente en la costa caribe, a pesar del trabajo investigativo y pedagógico que se viene adelantando desde algunas instituciones, es poco lo que se conoce acerca de esta población educativa. ¿Quiénes son los estudiantes que presentan características y desempeños académicos excepcionales y talentosos en los colegios del Distrito? ¿Cuáles son sus características fundamentales? ¿Cómo posibilitar el desarrollo de sus potencialidades? Son estos algunos de los interrogantes que orientan el desarrollo del proyecto de investigación «Identificación de estudiantes con capacidades excepcionales y talentos en el Distrito de Santa Marta», financiado por Fonciendas para el año 2005 y con el cual se pretende construir una sólida conceptualización sobre talentos y capacidades excepcionales que permitan la comprensión de las particularidades psicológicas individuales de estos jóvenes y, de esta manera, fundamentar su orientación psicoeducativa. es-ES
