dc.description AbstractBased on some historical events that have marked the Magdalena region, this article pretends to point out some aspects of reflection that may allow the confrontation between history and the present day, in order to understand how the entrepreneurial dynamics at a certain historical moment of the region constituted an important axis of development, a situation that has never been reached again, with the negative consequences this implies.The article is divided in four sections: the first one includes what has been called the starting point; the second one makes a historical balance of the entrepreneurs who played a leading role in the entrepreneurial dynamics of the region, in order to continue in the next section called Exodus, with a search for the historical factors that lead to their departure from the region; in the last section some conclusions are offered to open the discussion about what the region used to be from an entrepreneurial point of view, and what it currently is. en-US
dc.description Se pretende a partir de algunos hechos históricos que han marcado la región del Magdalena, ofrecer puntos de reflexión que permitan confrontar la historia con el presente, en el intento de poder comprender, cómo, la dinámica empresarial en un momento determinado en la región, representó un polo importante de desarrollo para la misma, situación que en la actualidad no ha podido ser igualada con las debidas consecuencias que esto implica.Para lograr tal propósito, el documento es presentado en cuatro secciones: una que incluye lo que se ha denominado el punto de partida; luego se interna en un balance histórico relacionado con los empresarios que jugaron un rol protagónico en la dinámica empresarial de la región, para luego; bajo el aparte designado como el éxodo, encontrar una explicación histórica a la salida de estos mismos empresarios de la región; en la última sección se ofrecen una serie de conclusiones que invitan a una reflexión alrededor de lo que la región fue desde el punto de vista empresarial y lo que es hoy.   es-ES
