dc.description The study aimed to analyze the transformational leader´s characteristics in the municipal comptrollers, taking as reference the approaches by Bass and Avolio (2006), Maxwell (2007), Bass y Riggio (2006) and others. The research was descriptive with nonexperimental transactional descriptive design in the field. A stratified probability sample made of 157 informants was selected. An instrument of measuring was used to measure the variables of the study, which was validated in its content and discriminant validity. The index of reliability of the questionnaires corresponded to 0,984. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results indicated high influence of Transformational leader’s personal characteristics in the Zulia state municipal comptrollers. The division heads and administrative staff agreed in their appreciations, Which makes these susceptible leaders to be role models and to encourage motivation and interest from followers to achieve organizational objectives. en-US
dc.description El estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar las características personales del líder transformacional en las contralorías municipales; tomando como referencia los planteamientos de Bass y Avolio (2006), Maxwell (2007), Bass y Riggio (2006), entre otros. La investigación fue descriptiva con diseño no experimental transeccional descriptivo de campo. La población fue de 257 sujetos. Se seleccionó una muestra probabilística estratificada configurada por 157 informantes. Se utilizó un instrumento para medir la variable de estudio, el cual fue validado en su contenido y validez discriminante. El índice de confiabilidad del cuestionario correspondió a 0.984. Los datos fueron analizados con estadísticas descriptivas. Los resultados indicaron que son altas las características personales del líder transformacional en las contralorías municipales del estado Zulia. Los jefes de división como el personal administrativo coincidieron en sus apreciaciones. Lo cual les convierte en líderes propensos a ser modelos a seguir y que estimulan la motivación así como el interés de los seguidores por el logro de los objetivos organizacionales.   es-ES
