dc.description The diabetes mellitus has been object of countless studies to determine the factors that the presence of this pathology and the populations facilitate mostly affected before this I lash. As much for the patient as for their family it is not easy to live maintaining a strict alimentary regime, added to the frequent application of a bladder of insulin, what causes the restriction of activities and changes in the lifestyle, that can cause a strong impact, more for the children and adolescents than in the adult. The appearance and development of the illness are bound to a group of factors that they unchain the characteristic symptoms of the diabetes mellitus; it is as well as such elements as the age, the sex, the race and the lifestyle constitute a sign of alert in the face of the probability of suffering this dysfunction. In order to determinate if this illness has come maked an epidemy, it ́s necesary to determinate the incidences, comorbid situations and the rate of mortality that it has. en-US
dc.description La diabetes mellitus ha sido objeto de innumerables estudios para determinar los factores que posibilitan la presencia de esta patología y las poblaciones mayormente afectadas. Tanto para el paciente como para su familia no es fácil vivir manteniendo un régimen alimenticio estricto, sumado a la frecuente administración de medicamentos, lo que ocasiona cambios en su estilo de vida. La aparición y desarrollo de la enfermedad están ligados a un conjunto de factores que desencadenan la sintomatología propia de la diabetes mellitus; es así como elementos tales como la edad, el sexo, la raza y el estilo de vida constituyen una señal de alerta ante la probabilidad de padecer este trastorno. Para determinar si la enfermedad ha venido convirtiéndose en una epidemia, es necesario determinar la incidencia, las situaciones comórbidas que la acompañan y la tasa de mortalidad que esta presenta. es-ES
