dc.description Colombia between 1990 and 1991 was inserted in a process of constitutional re-foundation that generated a climate of optimism and democratic openness in the achievement of the National Constituent Assembly (ANC), as a way out of the political crisis and generalized violence that the country was facing. In this context, on July 4, 1991, the new Constitution was proclaimed, which represented a turning point for the political participation of other social sectors, including ethnic groups, creating a historic opportunity for the Colombian indigenous movement. This article describes and analyzes the indigenous constituents’ participation by reviewing their proposals and the organization modes they represented. The successful configuration of the performativity of indigenous identity, against the backdrop of historical struggles for land, denunciations of human rights violations, and the figure of their representatives, positioned the discourse of ethnic and cultural diversity as a nodal value of a multiethnic and multicultural state. en-US
dc.description Colombia entre 1990 y 1991 se insertó en un proceso de refundación constitucional que generó un clima de optimismo y apertura democrática en la realización de la Asamblea Nacional Constituyente (ANC), como salida a la crisis política y la violencia generalizada que enfrentaba el país. En este contexto, el 4 de julio de 1991 se proclamó la nueva Constitución que representó un punto de inflexión para la participación política de otros sectores sociales, incluidos los grupos étnicos, lo que generó una oportunidad histórica para el movimiento indígena colombiano. Este artículo describe y analiza la participación de las constituyentes indígenas a través de la revisión de sus propuestas y los modos de organización que representaban. La configuración exitosa de una performatividad de la identidad indígena, teniendo como telón de fondo las luchas históricas por la tierra, las denuncias sobre la violación de los derechos humanos y la figura de sus representantes, posicionó el discurso de la diversidad étnica y cultural como valor nodal de un estado pluriétnico y multicultural. es-ES
