dc.description knowledge of the historical path of written communication in the department of Magdalena, allowing understand that information is a primary law of the community that attends to all the inhabitants of the city, which educates and helps build civic identity. As an example, the names of major newspapers that have circulated in Santa Marta and the Magdalena, from 1923 to 2003, which have jealously guarded the life of the city are presented. en-US
dc.description El artículo abre un espacio a las nuevas generaciones en el conocimiento de la trayectoria histórica de la comunicación escrita en el departamento del Magdalena, permitiendo entender que la información es un derecho originario de la comunidad que asiste a todos los habitantes de la ciudad, con lo cual educa y ayuda a formar la identidad ciudadana. Como ejemplo de ello, se presentan los nombres de los principales diarios que han circulado en Santa Marta y en el Magdalena, desde 1923 al 2003, los cuales han guardado celosamente la vida de la ciudad. es-ES
