dc.description In the maxilofacial Tumorlike pathology, the challenges are high. It is tried to eliminate the injury, beingtried to have the smaller index of possible recurrence or recidiva, to have the smaller number of possiblecomplications during the handling ablative and in the postoperative recovery, to produce the smaller amountof sequels, and finally when having the possibility of reconstructing to obtain aesthetic and function in thepatient. The injuries fibro osseous and within them the fibro osseous tumors represent a challenge diagnosisand therapeutic and later reconstructive. The jaw as scene of the injury is an additional difficulty given toits complex mobility and the relations with other structures and systems of the individual. The Age of thepatient is another variable that affects the difficulty to carry out ablation, that only arrives to include,understand the injury and not to affect beyond the limits of this one. en-US
dc.description En La patología Tumoral maxilofacial, los retos son altos. Se intenta eliminar la lesión, procurando tener el menor índice de recurrencia o recidiva posibles, tener el menor número de complicaciones posibles durante el manejo ablativo y en la recuperación postoperatoria, producir la menor cantidad de secuelas, y finalmente al tener la posibilidad de reconstruir obtener función y estética en el paciente. Las lesiones fibro óseas y dentro de ellas los tumores fibro óseos representan un reto diagnóstico y posteriormente terapéutico y reconstructivo. La mandíbula como escenario de la lesión es una dificultad adicional dada su compleja movilidad y las relaciones con otras estructuras y sistemas del individuo. La Edad del paciente es otra variable que incide en la dificultad para efectuar resección que llegue sólo a comprender la lesión y no afectar más allá de los límites de ésta.
