dc.description Diabetes is an illness, which has its origin in an organic alteration, however, and due to the complexity of human nature, there are some variables of psychological order that intervene during the evolution of the illness, not only do they depend on the mental, but also in the behavioural characteristics and abilities that patients have to confront their illness. Due to the above-mentioned fact, it is important to educate patients so that they will be able to accept treatments effectively , and thus, improve their quality of life. The intervention strategies are built, starting from the education, and evaluating behavioural, cognitive and emotional spheres in the patient, likewise, some abilities such as self-care, adherence to the treatment and confrontation resources towards stress; in order to design ideographical proposals of intervention in these patients. en-US
dc.description La diabetes es una enfermedad que tiene su origen en una alteración orgánica, sin embargo, y dada la complejidad de la naturaleza humana, existen variables de orden psicológico que intervienen en el desarrollo de la enfermedad, estas dependen de las características y habilidades comportamentales de los pacientes para afrontar la enfermedad. Dado lo anterior es importante educar al paciente para que sea capaz de asumir de forma adaptativa y eficaz el tratamiento con el objetivo de mejorar su calidad de vida. Las estrategias de intervención se construyen a partir de la educación y evaluación de las esferas conductual, cognitiva y emocional del paciente, así mismo, de las habilidades de autocuidado, adherencia al tratamiento y recursos de afrontamiento frente al estrés; con el fin de diseñar propuestas ideográficas de intervención en dichos pacientes. es-ES
