dc.description In the Wayuu community, the quack doctors or shamans are those who have the ability to communicate with the beyond (the afterlife), cure diseases, interpret dreams, predict the future, read or interpret nature and establish relationships or bounds with the deads, who in the form of yoluja (the shadow of the Spirits), return and cohabit with the Wayuu. The previuos is a sign of the different cultures that García Márquez (Gabo) lived with. Since Gabo was a child or in his childhood, he experienced a bicultural (colombian and Wayuu) vision where the supernatural, the mythological and the ordinary life were part of his existence. Among these, the Wayuu culture stands out, an indigenous influence that deeply marks the writer's work, because, just as García Márquez feels close to the language of the “Guajiros”, some of his characters seek to communicate only in the Wayuu's mother tongue: Wayuunaiki. In this sense, this article establishes five categories to analyze the symbolic role of bones, life in death, the prediction of the future, the clairvoyance of the dream world and the role of some characters as shamans in that specific social group. These elements of the Wayuu’s culture, which are found explicitly and implicitly in One Hundred Years of Solitude, constituting a great dialogic fabric or unit, in which two cultures of the Colombian Caribbean intersect ways of living and thinking; and the characters do not fully fit into neither the common indigenous canon nor the Western ones. en-US
dc.description Las diferentes culturas con las que convive García Márquez en su infancia configuran en él una visión multicultural en la que lo sobrenatural, lo mitológico y lo ordinario tienen cabida; entre estas se resalta la cultura wayuu, influencia indígena que marca profundamente la obra del escritor, pues, así como García Márquez se siente cercano a la lengua de los guajiros, algunos de sus personajes buscan comunicarse únicamente en wayuunaiki. En la comunidad wayuu, los piaches o chamanes son aquellas personas que tienen la capacidad de comunicación con el mundo-otro (el más allá), curan enfermedades, interpretan los sueños, pronostican el futuro, leen la naturaleza y establecen relaciones con los muertos que, en forma de yoluja, regresan y cohabitan con los wayuu. En este sentido, el presente artículo establece cinco categorías en las que analiza la presencia de la cultura wayuu y la figura del piache en Cien años de soledad; estas abarcan el papel simbólico de los huesos, la vida en la muerte, la predicción del futuro, la clarividencia del mundo onírico y el rol de algunos personajes como chamanes. Estos elementos de la cultura wayuu, que se encuentran de manera explícita e implícita en Cien años de soledad, constituyen un gran tejido dialógico en el cual dos culturas del Caribe colombiano (la wayuu y la caribe predominante) entrecruzan formas de vida y pensamiento para crear personajes que no encajan en su totalidad en el canon indígena, pero tampoco en el occidental. es-ES
